Say What?Christian Group Calls The Malaysia Airlines Plane Crash an 'Act of God'
The Christian group is known for tweeting controversial messages on their time lines
The Westboro Baptist Church, a Kansas-based group say that the Malaysia Airlines plane crash on Thursday, which killed 298 people and all crew members aboard, was an act of God based on Jeremiah 6:15.
The group tweeted "GodSmack! Malaysian Plane Down," on their timeline, an another phrase "God's Wrath is Revealed" in flames and provided a link to a post titled "Malaysian Plane Down," on its blog.
According to the blog post, "When God wants your attention; He knows how to get it. @WBCSays warned you that if you refuse to repent of your many whoredoms Dutch, Malaysians, Aussies, Indonesians, Germans, et al. YOU WILL PERISH!"
The post also quoted Jeremiah 6:15: "Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? Nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD."
From the post and the tweets of this ‘Christian group’ we think it is unsympathetic for a group that preaches about the love of God to man to call a fatal crash which left no survivor an ‘act of God’ or are they just trying to gain attention out of a great loss?
